Columbia Southern University

One asynchronous 9-week course at a time with textbooks included. The nursing master’s holds NLN CNEA pre-accreditation only, and practicum hours are not published.

Admits new BSN graduates with no experience or IT background, on a rolling basis. There is no practicum; the informatics courses are taught by the university’s IT faculty alongside 12 credits of nursing leadership.
Excelsior University

One 8-week course at a time, with starts every 8 weeks and no cohort. The 135-hour mentored capstone falls below ANCC’s 200-hour graduate pathway.
South University

Associate-degree RNs enter the MSN through one admission, with no BSN awarded along the way. Both tracks include 240 practicum hours and run on quarter credits.
University of Alabama at Birmingham

A fixed six-semester, part-time cohort with database, interoperability, and analytics courses plus two applied labs. The school helps place practicum students through its clinical affiliates.
University of South Alabama

Pairs 240 informatics practicum hours with nursing administration and finance coursework. Applicants need a year of RN experience; the RN-to-MSN is for RNs with a non-nursing bachelor’s.
