Missouri’s informatics programs are mostly graduate degrees. The University of Missouri offers a CAHIIM-accredited master’s in residential and online formats, Saint Louis University and Logan University offer non-accredited master’s degrees, and Washington University and UMKC offer research programs. Six community colleges hold CAHIIM accreditation for associate degrees leading to the RHIT.

Programs in Transition
- Missouri Western State University: admissions to its online HIM bachelor’s were paused through the end of 2024, and the program does not appear in CAHIIM’s current directory.
- Saint Louis University: CAHIIM lists its HIM bachelor’s as inactive.
- Washington University in St. Louis: its bulletin says the current MS requirements apply only to students who started before fall 2026.
How to Compare Missouri Health Informatics Programs
Among Missouri’s master’s programs, only Mizzou’s is CAHIIM-accredited, and we found no Missouri HIM bachelor’s currently admitting students, so RHIT graduates of the state’s community colleges may look to online HIM bachelor’s programs elsewhere. We found no Missouri nursing informatics MSN.
