Grant Information

Informatics education has made grant money available for students and faculty for many years. Many interesting projects have been completed and presented as a result of our "micro-grants".

 

We are happy to announce a new grant cycle from May 1, 2020, to July 1, 2020, that will be announced via our newsletter and AMIA e-News. The goal is to support 5 grants, each for $5000. A decision regarding grant awards will be made by July 15, 2020. 

 

The grant theme will focus on leveraging informatics and data science to impact the COVID-19 pandemic. Other grant themes will be considered on a case-by-case basis and judged on merit.

Bear in mind that the grant money cannot be used for overhead (indirect costs) and that the grants are currently available only to US institutions.
